Across the nation, a disturbing amount of sex education in schools is inaccurate or completely absent, leaving teens in the dark with important questions unanswered. Consequently, other sources of information are sought out, the main alternative source being porn, which promotes incorrect and potentially damaging preconceptions of sex and sexuality for impressionable tweens and teens going through sexual development. Having a credible sex education app that is discrete and easily accessible that exists in a digital space will have the greatest reach for the people who need it the most. Introducing Sex Med - a sex education app made to facilitate an understanding of sexuality and gender identity.
